Turn Your World Upside Down!

It's CHOOSEDAY. One of the biggest decisions we have to make is our attitude.

We can have an attitude of gratitude, or an attitude of complaining. Now I don't know about you, but would you rather live and work with grateful people, OR work and live with complaining people.

I'll take the grateful people every single time.

Whether you choose thankfulness or criticism, you are creating stronger bonds in the brain. "Synapses that fire together, wire together."

The principle is simple: Throughout the entire brain there are many collections of synapses separated by an empty space called the synaptic cleft. When you have a thought, one synapse sends a chemical across the cleft (empty space) to the other synapse. This creates a bridge which carries the electric signal across.

The Kicker: Every time this electrical charge is triggered, the synapses grow closer together in order to increase efficiency. The Brain wants to make more likely that the proper synapses will share the chemical link, therefore, it is easier to trigger that thought.

Your thoughts, whether they are positive or negative, grateful or critical, RESHAPE your Brain!

Which would you rather have: a thought pattern that is turned on the path of gratitude, positivity and success? OR a thought pattern that is bent towards criticism, negativity and failure?

I don't know about you. All I know is I have consciously decided to focus on GRATITUDE! And it has made me much healthier!

Letting Go

This happened tonight.

A BIG chop.

It's hard. It's a challenge to let go of something you've spent so much time and effort to grow, maintain and care for.

I was thinking this as I picked up the scissors to make the first cut. I had a knot in my stomach. Thoughts, concerns, and fears flew through my mind.

Is this REALLY what we want to do? What if I cut too short? What if I make a mistake? Will she be mad at me?

LIFE is like this. We give birth to concepts or ideas, nurture something, build, grow and maintain projects, jobs, or dreams.

And sometimes, we need to take the scissors and chop that thing that has sucks SO much energy from us. Maybe it's a job we really hate. Maybe it's a toxic relationship. Maybe it's heavy memories of loss. Maybe it's saying good bye to an addiction. Maybe it's disconnecting from negative influences.

Often it takes a person to tell you it's ok to do it. I'm here to tell you, go ahead! I give you permission to cut anything out of your life that isn't producing GOOD things.

Pick up the scissors.

Make that first cut.

You won't regret it.

I believe in you!
